SGS is a world leader in the field of inspection, control, analysis and certification. SGS works with people and provides independent services that help reduce risk, improve processes and operate in a sustainable manner. It is therefore not without reason that they attach great importance to safety.
Richard Beukema (Human Resource Business Partner) and Tim Kriek (Application Manager) of SGS explain why they chose Archive-IT to digitise their personnel files.
Digitizing personnel files
Archive-IT has digitized the personnel files for SGS on behalf of AFAS. The choice for a digitisation partner was made very carefully at SGS. “As SGS, we test other organisations on safety, quality and risks, among other things. If we have our personnel files digitised by an external party, we must have complete confidence in them. Our partner must fit in with the values that we ourselves apply and Archive-IT met all these aspects”, says Richard Beukema. “Members of the Works Council have been to Archive-IT’s premises to check whether what has been said actually corresponds with practice. This was important for internal support, but it also certainly provided confirmation that Archive-IT has its affairs in order.”
Decisive
Richard Beukema goes on to say: “The decisive factor for working with Archive-IT was the ISO27001 certification. Not only do they say that they work according to this standard, but they can also prove it with the actual certificate. The fact that they also own the NEN 7510 (even stricter requirements, aimed at healthcare) says a lot about the high level of information security. Personnel data is extremely sensitive to privacy and in my opinion an ISO27001 certification should not be lacking. What I also found pleasant is that Archive-IT did not just preach a sales pitch. The thinking along with us, the flexibility, the hands-on mentality and the practical approach really appealed to us”.
Short lines
Tim Kriek adds to that: “We wanted our files imported directly into our AFAS environment. Archive-IT’s partnership with AFAS was an advantage. They ensured that our files ended up directly in our environment. I found the connection with the employees of Archive-IT, also on a technical level, to be very constructive due to the professional knowledge and short lines of communication.”
The human resources department of SGS now works entirely digitally within AFAS, resulting in a considerable increase in efficiency and professionalism.
SGS, thank you for your confidence in Archive-IT!
