In our section 'Employee in the spotlight' we like to show which people are behind our organisation. Every day Archive-IT is committed to support organisations in the transition from a paper to a digital working environment. Besides that we develop software to guarantee safe digital accessibility. But who does what? And what are the motivations of the Archive-IT team members? Time for a look behind the scenes.
Can you tell me a bit more about your role at Archive-IT?
"My role within Archive-IT is Consultant on a technical level. Archive-IT is an international company, with offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France. For the French branch, I make sure that our software works in the right way for our customers. Think of the setup, installation and all communication related to this. I also help customers with technical questions."
How long have you been working at Archive-IT?
"I have been working at Archive-IT for a little over one year and half now. When my previous job in Sales, where I had to establish and maintain new customer relationships, didn't suit me anymore, I decided to go in a different direction. With my affinity for technology and software, I made the switch from Sales to IT. The position that was open at Archive-IT really appealed to me. I now have a lot of challenges in my work and I am happy that I made this step!"
What does your average work day look like?
"I always start the day by checking my e-mails. I also spend a lot of time helping our customers, answering their questions and providing them with software support. I check if everything is working properly and I often have installations to complete. Once the installation is done, I go to the clients to do weeks of training in the use of our software. I also try to stay up to date by following various training courses. At the end of the day, I always analyse whether all the work has been done correctly.
Nice to know: Every morning before Thibault starts work, he prepares a maté tea. Maté is a South American tea drink. It is made from an infusion of the young leaves and buds of a maté plant. Thibault also enjoys playing football and is a member of the team of his town, with his friends. Thibault's position is now defender, because he’s not able to run as much as before.
What motivates you most in your work?
"What motivates me most in my work is the customer contact. The great thing about this is that I can directly add value for our customers, so that they are satisfied with our solutions. I also really like the technical part of my job. I like working with data, solving technical problems and showing our customers how our software works. And what motivates me most in my work is my colleagues. We work together as a team and we enjoy our work, and that is the most important thing."
