In our section 'Employees in the spotlight' we like to show which people are behind our organisation. Every day Archive-IT is committed to support organisations in the transition from a paper to a digital working environment. Besides that we develop software to guarantee safe digital accessibility. But who does what? And what are the motivations of the Archive-IT team members? Time for a look behind the scenes.
This time Fabienne Cerbai is in the spotlight. Fabienne has been working for Archive-IT for 24 years and is in charge of the Services department at our French branch. We would like to introduce her to you!
Can you tell us something about your position at Archive-IT?
"At Archive-IT France I manage the Services department. We get a lot of requests from customers who would like to see a file that is archived. Together with my colleagues I make sure that all these requests are digitalised or sent in time. When new projects come in, we also make sure in our department that every file is registered and either archived or digitised.”
What does your average working day look like?
"I always start my workday by checking my e-mails, as almost everyone does. After that, it's important for me to check all the requests that have come in and then deal with them. We then look at the time period in which the customer needs the file. Then I plan everything as efficiently as possible, so that all requests can be consulted by the customer within the agreed period. But in addition to the requests, the department also deals with the digitisation of files. Every employee in the Services Department is all-round and can perform all tasks. These include registration, physical archiving, cleaning up files and digitising them."
How long have you been working at Archive-IT and what did you do before this?
"After I finished my studies, I started my career at Jalema, the company from which Archive-IT was born. At Jalema, I carried out various types of tasks. At the beginning of my career, I was responsible for customer support and preparing invoices, among other things. After that, I also worked on transport and the planning of certain projects and now I manage the Services department. I have been working for this organisation for 24 years!”
What motivates you most at work?
"What I like about my job is that it is very diverse, every day is different. This is because the assignments that come in are very diverse and we do all-round work and therefore have a lot of variety in tasks. Besides this, Archive-IT France is a real team, which means that we are well used to each other. This motivates us when a nice project is finished successfully and new projects come in.”
Nice to know: Fabienne plays a lot of video games in her spare time, especially Albion. It's a bit like the well-known game "World of Warcraft", where you have to fight against other online players in order to win.
What are your goals for the future?
"I would like to work with our team on the growth and success of Archive-IT France. Because France is currently in a digital transition, there are plenty of opportunities and challenges for us. I would also love it if we could open a second Archive-IT location in France one day."
