Natuurmonumenten, located in ‘s-Graveland, is the movement of people with a heart for nature. Nature is a source of inspiration for society and we have to be careful about that. In 1905 the first protected nature reserve was a fact for the Natuurmonumenten association and since then they have continued to work hard for nature.
Accessibility for everyone
Jeannette de Haan, HR Officer, has been working for Natuurmonumenten for many years. Together with her team, she is jointly responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the personnel files. “The amount of paper has increased considerably over the years, with the availability of paper being a particular hindrance. It was important for us that the files were made more accessible to ourselves as a personnel department, the personnel and their manager”, says Jeannette de Haan.
Choice of Archive-IT
For us, it was especially important that a connection could be made with the HR software package that we were already using. We have been working with Raet for years and wanted to be able to continue working from that package. On a Raet customer day, we met Archive-IT, which gave us a familiar feeling through positive stories. The quotation, the working method and the trust in the account manager were the decisive factors in the cooperation with Archive-IT. After Archive-IT had digitized the personnel files, we decided to store the physical files in our own archive. The step of having the files destroyed or stored elsewhere was still too big for us.
The digital file
“In the meantime, we have digitised about 725 files via Archive-IT and that is very good. Our files are now easily accessible to authorised persons. The files have been scanned in the right way; exactly according to the agreements we have made with Archive-IT. We also like the integration in Raet very much; this way we continue to work from our familiar system, which is very pleasant.”
Social Fund
Natuurmonumenten and Archive-IT have entered into a partnership, not only in the field of digitisation. The Social Fund of Archive-IT also supports the project ”Help the otter to cross safely”. It concerns the otter in the Nieuwkoopse Plassen in the Green Heart, which is back in the area after almost 40 years. However, the conditions for connections still need to be improved, which is why the forest ranger is committed to this tunnel. The Social Fund of Archive-IT has therefore also made a financial contribution to this charity, which will benefit the construction of a necessary otter tunnel!
