Through the Social Fund, Archive-IT has once again donated to various charities, great initiatives and other special actions in Q2 2024. These donations are realised through a portion of the profit distribution set aside by Archive-IT employees themselves. This amount is then doubled by Archive-IT's management and donated to various causes. This quarter, we made several donations, which we are happy to tell you about!

Jeugdvakantieweek Raamsdonksveer

Every year since 1993, Stichting Jeugdvakantieweek Raamsdonksveer has brought 250 children together for a week full of holiday activities. This weel is aimed at children aged 5 to 14. To ensure the high quality of the activities, the foundation maintains a maximum number of participants. Unfortunately, this 'full is full' rule means they have to disappoint children every year. Thanks to the commitment of many enthusiastic supervisors, the foundation hopes to continue for many years to come.

Leergeld Beesel

In the Netherlands, one in twelve children lives in poverty, which hinders their participation in normal activities. Stichting Leergeld Beesel provides support by helping children with essential items such as school supplies and expenses, sports fees and clothing, general clothing, bicycles, music lessons and even birthday presents. This foundation focuses specifically on children from Beesel, Reuver and Offenbeek aged up to 17. The mission of Foundation Leergeld Beesel is clear: every child should be able to participate, because participating now is counting later.

Twitter helpt

The Twitter Helps Foundation supports families with financial problems through monthly food aid. With this, they aim to help households that do not have enough money left at the end of the month for groceries, for example. They also offer budget coaching to teach families how to manage their budget wisely. Throughout the year, they organise various fun actions and collect clothes that they then hand out. What makes Foundation Twitter Helps so special is their dedication to always offer a listening ear and be ready to support families!

Jarige job

There are many children in the Netherlands who are unable to celebrate their birthdays because they don't have enough money for presents or a party. The Jarige Job Foundation has been giving birthday boxes worth €35 to children from poor families since 2010. These birthday boxes contain everything a child needs to celebrate their birthday at home and at school. The Jarige Job Foundation believes that every child deserves a birthday and helps more than 100,000 children celebrate their birthdays every year. In addition to distributing birthday boxes, the foundation also offers an educational programme for the classroom. This programme teaches children about poverty in a fun way.

Alpe d’HuZes

Every year, the Alpe d'HuZes Foundation organises a sporting event in which participants climb the Alpe d'HuZes, a mountain in the French Alps that is around 1860 metres high, together. The participants climb the mountain on foot or by bike, many even two or three times in a row. The foundation's motto is therefore "Giving up is not an option". The aim of the run is to raise as much money as possible for cancer research and to improve the quality of life of cancer patients. The Alpe d'HuZes Foundation is made up entirely of volunteers, some of whom have been taking part in the event for more than 10 years.

Roparun

Every year, the Roparun Foundation organises a relay race between Rotterdam and Paris during the Whitsun weekend. The relay race lasts around three days and is non-stop, testing the endurance of the runners. The race covers a total distance of around 520 kilometres. The race dates back to 1991, when two friends decided to run from Rotterdam to Paris. Since then, thousands of runners have taken part every year, raising money together for charity. The Roparun raises funds that are donated to various charities. The main aim of the Roparun is to help cancer patients and enable them to spend enjoyable days with their families, while they still can. The Roparun Foundation's motto is: "Adding life to days, where often there are no days left to add to life".

You too can suggest charities that could benefit from a one-off donation. These proposals will be examined by the Social Fund and, who knows, we may be able to help you. Together, we're strong! Contact us at info@archive-it.nl.
