In our section 'Employees in the spotlight' we like to show which people are behind our organisation. Every day Archive-IT is committed to support organisations in the transition from a paper to a digital working environment. Besides that we develop software to guarantee safe digital accessibility. But who does what? And what are the motivations of the Archive-IT team members? Time for a look behind the scenes.
This time, the spotlight is on Loes Heijmans. Loes has been working at Archive-IT in the marketing department since October 2023. We would like to introduce her to you!
What did you do before this and how did you end up at Archive-IT?
"I studied Marketing Management at Avans Hogeschool in Den Bosch. During my studies, I worked as a freelancer for a marketing agency in Roermond to gain practical experience. After graduating, it was time to explore the real work life. After a year of work experience in the B2C sector, I knew exactly what I did and did not want. I was looking for a new challenge! Eventually, I came into contact with Paul. After a nice conversation, I started at Archive-IT on 1 October 2023; a growing international organisation with a very nice working atmosphere. And where marketing and sales merge seamlessly - something that perfectly matched my education."
What does your average working day look like?
"In the marketing department, I am responsible for several challenging tasks, so no two days are the same! Several major projects are currently underway, including the acquisition of Novodoc in Erkelenz and the repositioning of TIIMG. Furthermore, together with my colleagues, I am busy arranging the filling of various stands at participating trade fairs, including Corporatieplein in Houten and SantExpo in Paris. For this, both the visual aspect and the story have to be right. In short, whether it's events, social media, content writing, or setting up marketing campaigns; the days fly by!"
What makes Archive-IT the organisation you enjoy working for?
"I believe that enjoyment at work depends largely on the people you work with. Fortunately, I have a cool team, and this results in me going to work every day with a lot of enthusiasm and motivation. The team is a nice mix of young and experienced colleagues, from whom I can learn a lot. The door is always open for questions and to get the necessary information. Besides hard work, there is also time for fun and relaxation. For instance, every break we fanatically play a game of 30 Seconds and we regularly have fun outings.
Nice to know: Loes is not only passionate in the work field but also in the dance world. In 2022, she and her team became Dutch champions in Jazz-Modern.
What do you get satisfaction from while working?
"I get satisfaction from completing projects. Organising events and achieving the desired results of a marketing campaign are examples of this. I also enjoy trying or figuring out new things. In such situations, I do feel proud of myself if it subsequently succeeds. And the appreciation from colleagues contributes to that as well!"
