At the beginning of this year, a well-known name in the sector disappeared as Van Dinther continued under the name Archive-IT. This name change is a logical consequence of the close collaboration and joint efforts that have proven successful, say CEO Paul de Meulemeester, Commercial Manager Dolf Jan Quik, and Business Unit Manager Chantal van Kronenberg. In an interview with CorporatieGids Magazine, they explain the reasons behind this decision and what it means for the future.

What was the reason for continuing as Archive-IT from this year onwards?

The collaboration between Archive-IT and Van Dinther has existed since March 2022 and has since led to a strengthened, joint approach. By further intensifying this collaboration, we can support our customers even better in all processes related to storing and managing physical and digital information. The services of both companies complement each other and have been fully integrated into daily operations. With our comprehensive offering, we can optimally assist customers with any information-related challenge, from physical archiving to digital collaboration. We are therefore looking forward to the future with enthusiasm, where we will realize our ambitions together by continuing to innovate and providing our customers with the best possible service—as one team, with one vision.

Is this ‘just’ a name change, or is there more to it?

Although the name is changing, everything remains familiar for our customers. The people they are used to working with remain the same, and the quality of our services remains high. We can now respond even better to the growing demand from customers and act more quickly when needed, thanks to increased efficiency, combined expertise, and expanded resources. Additionally, we have streamlined our internal processes together, and this effort was rewarded last year with two ISO certifications: ISO 9001 and ISO 27001.

What is Archive-IT’s vision for the housing corporation sector?

Our vision for the housing corporation sector remains unchanged, regardless of the name. With our integrated approach—from process optimization to fully compliant information management—we make the past accessible, meet current requirements, and prepare our customers for a digital, sustainable future. We remain focused on delivering reliable IT solutions that enhance the operational efficiency of housing corporations. Whether operating under the name Archive-IT or Van Dinther, our customer-centric approach remains the driving force.

What specific benefits does an integrated product offering bring to customers?

With our combined offering, we already provide a complete solution for any document management challenge. Consider E-Content 365, which is fully geared towards optimal digital collaboration and document management, or I-Flow 365, which helps organizations streamline invoice processing through AI.

We support customers with a variety of challenges and tailor our products flexibly to their needs. Instead of custom solutions, we use standardized interfaces to ensure quality. We enhance metadata, improve data quality, and digitize physical documents. Additionally, we provide physical archiving at our own storage locations, combined with scanning on demand. We work with our clients to develop a tailored solution that aligns with their vision. Furthermore, our consultants and project managers are ready to advise and assist throughout the process.

You state that by combining knowledge, solutions, and scale, you accelerate innovation, strengthen continuity, and better support customers. How does this manifest?

Thanks to AI-driven technology, we are continuously making our products smarter, allowing us to provide customers with more efficient and effective support. With increased operational capacity, Archive-IT can respond more quickly and effectively to developments in the sector, ensuring that we remain a leader in the housing corporation industry. Our core values include reliability, innovation, security and compliance, customer focus, flexibility, solution-oriented thinking, and partnership.

How do you see document management evolving in the housing corporation sector in the coming years?

One key trend we observe is the shift from data stored in separate applications to centralized data management on the Microsoft 365 platform. This transition places significant demands on organizations, as it involves not only application changes but also structural adjustments. Many corporations are still at the beginning of this transition.

Additionally, AI has become an indispensable part of the sector. Practical applications of AI are becoming increasingly important, and in the coming years, it will be crucial to transform uncontrolled AI development into secure, user-friendly solutions that comply with GDPR requirements. Finally, security is playing an increasingly prominent role in decision-making and operational processes. Security regulations are constantly being tightened, requiring companies to prepare for a future that emphasizes security by design, active monitoring, and a clear incident response strategy.
